UTERIN
UTERIN is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic indicated for the treatment of endometritis in bovine females, particularly useful in repeat breeder cows during the postpartum and reproductive period.
Composition
Each syringe contains:
Cefapirin benzathine 642 mg (equivalent to 500 mg of cefapirin)
Each gram of suspension contains:
Cefapirin benzathine 33.8 mg (equivalent to 26.3 mg of cefapirin)
Excipients q.s. to 1 g
Route of Administration
Intrauterine use only.
Apply the full content of one syringe. If necessary, repeat the treatment after 1–2 weeks, according to the veterinarian’s judgment. Recommended from the third week postpartum or 24 hours after insemination in repeat breeder cows.
Withdrawal Time
Milk: No withdrawal period required for human consumption.
Meat: Do not slaughter animals for human consumption until 48 hours after the end of treatment.
