Tino
TINO is indicated for the control of infestations caused by:
Mites
Ticks: Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus, Amblyomma cajennense
Flies: Haematobia irritans, Stomoxys calcitrans, Musca domestica
Horse flies: Tabanus spp.
In poultry production, TINO is indicated for the control of Alphitobius diaperinus (lesser mealworm or darkling beetle) in poultry houses.
Dosage and Route of Administration
Cattle
TINO is used at a rate of 1 mL per liter of water (1:1000 dilution), applied as follows:
Spray races: Apply 1 liter of the emulsion per 100 kg of body weight.
Spray pumps: Dilute 20 mL of TINO® in 20 liters of water. Apply 1 liter of the emulsion per 100 kg of body weight. In practice, the contents of a 20-liter backpack sprayer are sufficient to treat 4 to 5 animals.
Immersion baths: Dilute 1 mL of TINO® per liter of water (1:1000) for the initial charge. When the bath level drops by 10%, apply a replenishment dose of 1.5:1000 liters (dilute 1.5 liters of TINO® in 1000 liters of water).
Suggested Bathing Schedule for Frequency Control
Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus: Every 21 days
Amblyomma cajennense: Every 7 days
Haematobia irritans (horn fly): Whenever more than 25 flies per animal are observed
Stomoxys calcitrans (stable fly): As required according to infestation level
Poultry Use
For the control of Alphitobius diaperinus in poultry houses, dilute 2–3 mL per liter of water.
One liter of the insecticidal solution is sufficient to cover 10 square meters, thoroughly wetting the floor after prior cleaning and disinfection of the facility.
Presentations: Bottle: 20 mL, 100 mL, 500 mL, and 1 liter.
