COMPOSITION:

Each mL of OXYTETRACYCLINE 200 L.A.-Erma® contains:

Oxytetracycline base 200 mg

Vehicles q.s. to 1 mL

INDICATIONS:

Control and treatment of diseases caused by Anaplasma spp., Listeria spp., Escherichia coli, Leptospira spp., Clostridium spp., and Streptococcus spp.

Other indications at the discretion of the veterinarian.

USES:

Bacteriostatic antibiotic indicated for the treatment of anaplasmosis, brucellosis, actinobacillosis, actinomycosis, anthrax, blackleg, malignant edema, hemorrhagic septicemia, tetanus, bacillary hemoglobinuria, colibacillosis, colisepticemia, shigellosis, listeriosis, vibriosis, vibrionic dysentery, Glässer’s disease and erysipelas (swine), vaginitis, peritonitis, pyelonephritis, infectious mastitis, and skin infections.

Also used for wound disinfection before and after surgery, treatment of abscesses, and for vaginal and intrauterine lavage.

DOSAGE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:

Deep intramuscular injection only.

As this is an oily solution, do not administer intravenously, intraperitoneally, or subcutaneously.

Administer 10 mL per 100 kg body weight (equivalent to 20 mg/kg) every 4 to 5 days.

Maximum volume per injection site:

Cattle: 20 mL

Swine: 10 mL

Sheep and goats: 5 mL

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

Meat: 21 days

Milk: 6 days for human consumption

Vials containing 50 mL, 250 mL, and 500 mL of net content.

USE IN: Cattle, sheep, and swine.
