COLIVET is an injectable solution with analgesic, antipyretic, and antispasmodic action, effective in all domestic animals. It is indicated for the control of acute pain and fever caused by colic, surgical procedures, musculoskeletal disorders (such as myositis and trauma), acute arthritis, neuritis, and neuralgia.
In cases of lumbar pain in horses, COLIVET helps reduce manifestations of pain and distress.
The basic dose of dipyrone (metamizole) is 28 mg per kg of body weight every 8 hours.
Recommended dosages:
Adult cattle and horses: 20–60 mL
Calves and foals: 5–15 mL
Swine: 10–30 mL
Sheep and goats: 2–8 mL
Dogs: 1–5 mL
In acute cases, intravenous administration is recommended. When administered intramuscularly, the onset of action occurs within 30 minutes.
Dose repetition is at the discretion of the attending veterinarian.
Presentations: Glass vial: 50 mL.
